Housing affordability isn’t just an economic issue — it’s a daily reality for families across Markham. Many residents are struggling to find stable, attainable homes close to work, transit, and essential community services. As your Ward 8 representative, I’m committed to pushing for practical solutions: increasing diverse housing options, strengthening rental protections, and ensuring new developments truly meet community needs.

Today, we met with St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral to learn more about their upcoming project, including an affordable housing program that could bring meaningful support to residents. Community partnerships like this are vital. Together, we can build a future where every resident has a place to call home.
